Background and Experience

Légáramlat Nonprofit KFT, a member organization of the ASEY Network (a European youth organizations’ network encompassing organizations that provide non-formal educational opportunities for young people across Europe), has been actively engaging young people in Hungary since 2016. Our Non-formal Youth Development Strategy was developed and initiated in 2022, and we have been implementing activities within its framework in communities across Hungary ,Romania, Reunion, Czech Republic, Slovacia and France ever since. Our program is structured around four key pillars:

Our Target Audience:

We primarily serve young individuals aged 16-25. Our expertise extends to working with those facing varying obstacles, such as cultural, social, and economic barriers, educational obstacles (e.g., NEET) and geographical challenges. We are also building our experience in working with youth facing disability and health problems.

Geographical Reach: Our primary reach is at national scale: we collaborate closely with several schools from all across Hungary and also we keep close contact with organisations who foster the education minority groups. Our activities are attended by a highly intercultural public, residing in Hungary but also abroad. At European level we collaborate closely with numerous partners from abroad and since 2022 we became members of ASEY network, a network aimed to provide quality nonformal education to the young people worldwide.

Key Activities:

In the field of E+ we are involved in a wide range of initiatives such as: youth exchanges, mobilities for the continuous training and development of our staff and organisation capacity building projects all focused on youth development. We host workshops for young people from the community, particularly for those facing challenges (migrant backgrounds, educational obstacles and cultural and social barriers). Topics include street animation and advocacy, active citizenship, promotion of democratic values, opportunities of E+ and the ESC programmes, etc. Our international youth exchanges encompass themes like digitalization, environmental protection, and entrepreneurship. We also use grassroots sports and outdoor activities as excellent nonformal learning methods that also contribute to enhance youth well-being.

Link to the Youth Field:

At Légáramlat, all our endeavours are closely intertwined with the youth domain. Most of our activities are tailored to directly contribute to the development of young people, involvement in the whole process from imitation to finalisation. Our organization is a youth organisation, created, managed and run by young people for young people.
