Agreeing Together

7 - 17 June 2022 - Curteni, Romania

Agreeing Together was a Youth Exchange Mobility that took place in Curteni, Romania between June 7-17, 2022 with the participation of 4 partner organisations from Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and the Czech Republic, involving 40 young people.

Through  non-formal, integrative and participatory working methods, such as team building games, non-formal evaluation, participative integrative methods, discussions, improvisation games and simulations, we have taught participants about the importance of using mediation as a first method to solve conflict.

Teaching young people about mediation is vital for their personal development, the promotion of harmonious relationships, the prevention of escalated conflicts, and the cultivation of a culturally competent and inclusive society. By equipping them with these skills early on, we empower them to become effective communicators, problem solvers, and agents of positive change in their communities and beyond.

Objectives

O1. Increased the level of competences to internalize the use of mediation as the first form to solve a conflict among the 40 participants aged 16 -31 (12 of which are facing economic, geographic and social obstacles), by the end of the project.

O2. Development of communication competences and problem-solving skills of the participants previously mentioned, by the end of the project.

O3. Created a framework for providing the 40 young people with an effective tool to help resolving conflicts in their communities and daily lives, by the end of the project.
