About the host organisation

Légáramlat is a non-profit non-governmental organization founded in Budapest, Hungary by active university students to promote active lifestyle, create opportunities for their peers to try sports like sailing and paragliding in which organization members are highly experienced. Our main goal is to provide young people with equal opportunities to participate in the events, projects organized by our organization and our partners to try out new sports they usually would not have an opportunity to do, to grow personally and professionally in safe non-formal learning contexts.

We seek to show to young people that their world does not over with the walls of their communities, there are many different opportunities to get actively involved in Erasmus+ programme, to grow, learn, travel, get exposed to different cultures, try new things that they are usually deprived from.

About our project

Nowadays it is important to preserve and value ethnic identities while encourage cross- cultural exchange. Language and cultural barriers are two aspects that can influence the level of geographic mobility within the EU. Moreover, studies shown that in many countries the proportion able to speak at least one foreign language has decreased such as Hungary (-7 points to 35%) while in others at least half of all respondents are unable to speak any foreign language, as its the case of Romania (52%).

The goal is to develop knowledge, abilities and positive attitudes of 48 young people supported by 10 group leaders from 2 partner countries HU and RO in the field of intercultural understanding through dance by organizing a youth exchange.

Venue, accommodation and meals

The Youth Exchange will take place in beautiful Telkibany, located on the edge of Europe's highest plateau, surrounded by gorgeous valleys, near shady beech trees and flowing creek valleys. Thanks to its natural features, the area is perfect for hiking and for organizing excursions. The surroundings dazzle those who just want to relax with their intact wildness and beauty.

Accommodation and food will be arranged at Aranygombos Telkibany, located on the southern slope of the Medves Plateau in the middle of a 6-hectare park. The centuries-old beech trees on the north side of the park never existed under forestry cultivation, giving it a real inconvenience. The park is inhabited as a natural habitat by many species of birds, but is also popular among squirrels. The area of the hotel is surrounded by forests on three sides, so it is not unusual for the balconies to see deer, deer and foxes. Due to the direct natural surroundings of the hotel, guests coming to town can discover the feeling of waking up to birds.
