Save Our Money

KA1 Youth Exchange

08th – 19th September 2019

HUNGARY

This project meets the needs of young people, which focuses on learning about their current financial situation and their future, developing and improving their competitiveness in order to acquire financial knowledge.

Objective:

To increase the level of financial knowledge of HU, BG, RO and LT young people in order to improve their ability to manage their budget, which will take place in Mezőberény, between September 08 and 19, 2019.

The young people's need to improve their financial knowledge was born out of the practicality of realizing that soon after leaving school, they will have to manage their finances themselves, and until now they have been faced with the fact that they have not been able to manage their money properly.

Through this application, our goal is to increase the financial knowledge of young people so that they can successfully manage their finances as they live an independent lifestyle.

During the project, the participants will increase their financial knowledge, skills and behavior in a safe intercultural learning environment. Another goal of the project is to increase the awareness of the Erasmus + program and the importance of financial literacy acquired at an early age in the local communities where young participants come from. The third goal is to increase the capacity of partner organizations in the development of individual learning plans for financial literacy.

Profile of participants:

The target group of the project consists of young people who have the following common needs: the development of financial knowledge; broadening the scope of intercultural understanding; development of learning to learn in a non-formal context; establishing practical cooperation with young people from different socio-cultural contexts.

Young participants from HU, BG, LT and RO are 18-19 years old and meet the following criteria:

- interested in developing their financial skills;

- motivated to participate in all stages of the project;

- are willing to contribute to the dissemination of the results of the project and the dissemination of the E + program in their own communities;

- they come from a small urban environment.

Our goal is to increase the level of financial literacy of young people from HU, BG, RO and LT in order to improve their budget management skills. Therefore, during the YE, the participants will develop their skills, knowledge, attitudes/behaviors, which will increase their initiative skills in managing the budget for an independent and balanced life. Participants will engage in outreach activities that will increase the importance of financial literacy in their communities. The participants will share their results and experiences in the project with their local communities.

Their project participants' financial knowledge will improve, enabling them to make informed and effective decisions with their financial resources. Therefore, they will be able to become independent sooner after graduation. An additional effect is the fact that participants will have more intercultural awareness and a better understanding of the differences and similarities between themselves and others.
