The Connecting With Nature youth exchange in France brought together young participants from France, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the relationship between nature and well-being. This initiative aimed to enhance environmental awareness, promote mental health, and foster social inclusion through hands-on learning experiences in a natural setting.
Throughout the exchange, participants took part in various activities designed to strengthen their connection with the environment and each other. Guided hikes to the scenic Robert Lakes provided practical experience in eco-friendly outdoor exploration, while workshops and discussions encouraged reflection on sustainability and personal growth. Evening yoga sessions created a space for relaxation and mindfulness, reinforcing the importance of well-being.
In addition to outdoor adventures, the program emphasized cultural exchange and learning. A visit to the historic Bastille in Grenoble introduced participants to French heritage, while a cultural night allowed them to share their own traditions, food, and music, fostering deeper mutual understanding.
By the end of the exchange, participants had developed essential life skills, built international friendships, and gained new perspectives on sustainability and mental health. Through experiential learning and cross-cultural collaboration, the Connecting With Nature project equipped young people with the tools and motivation to contribute positively to their communities and advocate for a more sustainable and inclusive future.
As an active partner in the initiative, Légáramlat supported the participation of nine young individuals and two group leaders from Hungary. Their involvement allowed them to broaden their horizons, engage in valuable cross-cultural exchanges, and bring back fresh insights and inspiration to their home communities.
